Our Story
MountainGear began out of a shared frustration: too many outdoor retailers either sold trendy gear that failed under stress, or were too niche and inaccessible. We wanted to build something that balanced expertise, accessibility, and integrity. Starting small, we focused on core, high-performing products. Word-of-mouth among climbers, hikers, and outdoor professionals helped us grow. Today, we’re proud to be one of Canada’s go-to sources for mountain gear.
